Swan Office & Technology Park, shortlisted for quality awards
Organised by CEE Insight Forum in association with the Financial Times and key industry partners, CEEQA’s coverage extends across 18 countries in central and southeast Europe recognising business excellence and showcasing the achievements of the sector to the international investment arena. The awards are widely recognised as the sector’s most respected monitor of achievement. They are free to enter, transparent and objective and are judged by a jury panel of senior representatives of market leading companies supervised by globally respected consulting firm Deloitte.

SWAN Office & Technology Park, one of the most revolutionary office buildings delivered on the Romanian market last year, is the first project in Romania to achieve a “Post Construction” certificate under the BREEAM Europe 2009 regulations. BREAAM is the world’s leading design and assessment method for sustainable buildings. A BREEAM assessment uses recognised measures of performance, which are set against established benchmarks, to evaluate a building’s specification, design, construction and use. The measures used represent a broad range of categories and criteria from energy to ecology. They include aspects related to energy and water use, the internal environment (health and well-being), pollution, transport, materials, waste, ecology and management processes. SWAN received a coveted BREEAM certification of “Very Good” and is currently going through the assessment process to achieve an “Excellent” rating.
In the CEE & SEE region, there are currently 670,000 sqm of certified office buildings and 510,000 sqm of office projects under construction that are applying for green certification, according to the latest study on Green Building published by Jones Lang LaSalle. With a total of 29,124 sqm of office and commercial space, SWAN Office & Technology Park is recognized as one of the projects that are leading the industry across the CEE, being one of the largest existing certified office developments in Romania.
