Ploiesti West Park gives a boost to the logistics market
Having already delivered more than 200,000 sqm of logistic facilities, Ploiesti West Park continues its expansion, attracting new clients. Representatives of Alinso Group, the company which has developed the project, estimate that the business park will be completed in ten years' time, with a total construction value of around 750 million Euro, including the infrastructure works.
The group launched the project in April 2010, as a greenfield development on some 220 hectares. Within two years, following the company’s acquisition of another 30 hectares of land for the project, Ploiesti West Park has already welcomed tenants such as Unilever, Lufkin Industries, Toro and British American Tobacco. More recently the park has also attracted names such as Halliburton, Honeywell and Schlumberger. These companies occupy some 100,000 sqm of logistic warehouse space in total, with a reference rent per sqm of around four euro.
Speaking about the main aspects that have contributed to the success of the project, Ivan Lokere, CEO, Alinso Group, mentioned the speed of execution, its fair, customer oriented and transparent business propositions. “Ploiesti West Park’s logistic warehouses are fit for European distribution centers of regional and national importance, as well as for distribution activities to the city centers of Bucharest and Ploiesti and the surrounding regions,” he said.
