The spring is coming. So what?

On that note, Maria Grapini, President of Pasmatex Group, believes we can hope to achieve a slight economic growth of 0.1 – 0.5 per cent this year, if there are radical changes in the government’s fiscal, investment and stability policies. In fact, all major economists have recommended reducing fiscal pressure, infrastructure investments and institutional restructuring. According to them, such measures could generate confidence, private investments and lower operating costs.
However, in Romania we have had increased fiscal pressure, the infrastructure investments that were eventually launched have generated suspicion rather than anything else, due to costs and lack of transparency in selection procedures, while the institutional restructuring remains a never-ending story.          
Even so, the spring is coming! However, we still do not have a new fiscal legislation, we do not have differentiated VAT rates, the bureaucratic measures are opaque and unfriendly, and investments are not encouraged. Under the circumstances, the imminent arrival of the spring seems to fade in importance.
