Laszlo Diosi, președintele OTP Bank România și unul dintre cei mai influenți oameni din sectorul bancar, spune că băncile nu pot fi învinovățite că nu finanțează suficient economia: creditarea reprezintă obiectul afacerii lor, clienții noi sunt bine-veniți, însă nu pot fi finanțate firme cu un grad redus de solvabilitate. Astăzi, sistemul financiar-bancar arată complet diferit față de acum cinci ani datorită unui sistem de reglementare și monitorizare mult mai strict, iar toate băncile fac 'new business'. Însă nu prea e loc pe piață pentru 40 de bănci generaliste, spune președintele OTP Bank, admițând că urmărește activ piața locală pentru o posibilă preluare.

JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel continues its investments and plans to spend some 900,000 Euro on modernizing a ballroom and 10 meeting rooms next year. As Norwegian investments in Romania stand at around 300 million Euro and last year's bilateral trade amounted to 530 million Euro, the two countries have great potential for closer cooperation, according to Øystein Hovdkinn, the Norwegian Ambassador to Romania. Provident Financial România a emis în prima jumătate a acestui an împrumuturi cu o valoare totală de peste 42 milioane de euro, în creştere de la 30 milioane de euro în primul semestru din 2009.
